Arroyo Vista Vineyard
The Story
In 1972, Jerry Lohr planted his first vineyard here, recognizing what few others did: that Monterey County's cool climate could produce world-class Chardonnay. A 10-year-old Steve Lohr helped plant the original vines. Today, this vineyard remains the crown jewel of J. Lohr's white wine program.

Steve Lohr, now CEO, helped plant these vines as a child—a powerful symbol of family continuity.
